It’s already been a big year for the Raid Adventures family with the inaugural Raid 100 and the Wildfire Raid run and done. But with some big news coming down the line, it’s time to touch base on all the upcoming Raid news.
The Urban Raid – Entries Open
Entries are now open for the Urban Rogue on Friday 6 December 2019. Come and join us for a 3 hour romp through the city lights on a Friday night. Now in it’s 7th year, finish off the year with one of the biggest rogaines on the QLD calendar. Fast of foot or family friendly? You choose your mode of transport and go from there.
The Rogue Raid – HQ Announcement
The Rogue Raid will return to its traditional 24 hour format on 2-3 May 2020. The Rogue is set to go Bayside with race HQ hosted from the Bayside Wakepark on the shores of the Logan River. Applications for entries will open Monday 16 December 2019 (more information on this process on the race website). Although in an area that may be familiar to some, expect a few hidden gems on this course with all the strategic adventure you’ve come to know and love from the Rogue Raid. The Mojo Raid – Almost Here
The Mojo Raid will return in just two weeks with another scenic course on the shores of Lake Moogerah with the stunning Main Range as a backdrop. With a plethora of options including a 3 hour and 6 hour race along with a solo category to go with the premier 12 hour race, now is your last chance to get an entry in with entries closing midnight 8 September.
The Wildfire Raid – Race Wrap Up
Over 60 teams took to Lake Wyaralong and the surrounding hills for the Wildfire Raid back in July. Catch up on the race via the wrap up below. Thanks again to our amazing sponsors, Wildfire Sports and Trek, for a fantastic swag of prizes.
Raid 100 – Sneak Peek
The Raid 100 was always set to be a bit of an experiment – the worlds first rogaine-format, expedition-length adventure race. Although the race was never set to have a definitive future, we’ve decided that it will return at least once more in early May 2021. With a tag-line of “Northern Rivers” course scouting and planning has begun. Details will be posted to the race website as they become available.
Adventure1 – On a Roll
Both the 2020 Rogue24 and the 2021 Raid100 will be members of the national Adventure1 series. There is some big news coming down the line for Adventure1 with some exciting consequences for Australian Adventure racing: a case of watch this space.
Team Rogue Racing
Team Rogue took on Hells Bells recently, the fourth race of the Adventure1 series. Racing through the Sunshine Coast hinterland, the team finished in fourth place to secure fourth on the National Series ladder with one race to go. Up next is the Wildside 36hr race where the team will return to defend their title. Check out a clip of their recent adventures at Hells Bells below.
