Things have been a little quiet on the Raid Adventures front since a bumper edition of the Rogue Raid back in May, but that’s not because we’ve been sitting on our hands! All the planning is in place for your next set of adventure races, with news updates on the Escape Raid, Urban Rogue and Raid 100 below.
Escape Extended Early Bird Entries
With just 18 more sleeps until the Escape Raid, it’s time to get your entries in with an extension to the early bird price through to just Friday 4 October. With three individual rogaine events covering the disciplines of trekking, kayaking and mountain biking you can choose one race or do them all. Each event has a unique twist on the rogaine format and with a social night of camping with your fellow competitors, this is a race not to be missed. The event has the support of Somerset Regional Council: full details including a link to the entry form can be found on the button below.
Raid 100 Course Scouting Report
Course setters for the Raid 100 have just returned from a week long trip to the event area, and to say we are excited about the terrain teams will be racing through is a little understated. Competitors are set for some epic and challenging stages through a very diverse set of landscapes. We can’t give too much away until closer to the race, but safe to say teams are set for a unique Raid experience through all the best areas the Discovery Coast has to offer. It’s hard to believe a major adventure race has never visited this location before. Event logistics are falling in to place and the massive job of designing the custom built maps is underway: we can’t wait to get out there and start hanging the 100 flags. Competitor numbers are filling up with early bird entries closing in early December. Hope over to the Raid 100 website to check out all the race details.
Wildfire Back Supporting Urban Rogue
We are excited to announce that Wildfire Sports and Trek are back to support the Urban Rogue in 2024 with a swag of prizes up for grabs. This will be the twelfth edition of the race and as always it’s a great way to wrap up the rogaine calendar for the year. The race is set for Friday 6 December and will return back to the Lang Park PCYC in the heart of Brisbane City as a host venue. Entries open 21 October: we look forward to seeing you on the start line.
So, there is plenty to get excited about for the upcoming Raid races. Reach out if you have any further questions and we hope to see you at an event soon.
