Raid 100 Heads to the Discovery Coast

Raid Adventures is excited to announce that the third edition of the Raid 100 will return in 2025 with a course exploring the Discovery Coast region of Queensland. Race HQ will be the seaside town of Tannum Sands, just half an hour drive away from Gladstone Airport with direct flights available from all over Australia. Set aside the week of 4-9 May 2025 for a race that is not to be missed.

Now in its third edition, the Raid 100 will return with its familiar format: the only expedition-length, rogaine-format adventure race in the world. Teams will race for 100 hours over an expansive, varied and scenic course to collect the highest score possible. The race will feature 100 check points spread across multiple stages of trekking, mountain biking and packrafting. It will be the first time a major adventure race has visited the area which is hard to believe given the natural beauty of the location. As the Adventure 1 Oceania World Cup, teams will also be competing for a free entry into the World Cup Final, Sud Raid, in France next year.

Full details are now available on the race website including race schedule and details of the logistics in the course documentEarly bird entries will open on Monday 8 July 2024. We are looking to cap entries to 100 participants to help manage race logistics, so be sure to secure a place early. This race is Raid Adventures’ pinnacle event and the 2025 edition is set to be another epic course: check out all the details via the link below.

Escape Raid Entries Opening

Entries for the third edition of the Escape Raid will open Monday 1 July 2024. We are excited by the new host venue for this race out of Captain Logan Camp on the shores of Lake Wivenhoe.

The Escape Raid has a unique format with three separate rogaines covering three different race disciplines (trekking, kayaking and mountain biking), each three hours in length. In between events we put on catering and over night camping, making this the most social race of the year: try one event or do them all! The Escape Raid platform allows us to play around a bit with the traditional rogaine format, and each event has a unique twist which is sure to test teams mentally as much as it will physically and navigationally. The Escape Raid puzzle, a competitor favourite, will also return on the Saturday evening. The new venue will allow us to run all three events directly from your tent door. With beautiful lakeside views and full shower amenities available, teams will be adventure rogaining in style.

The Escape Raid is set for the weekend of 19-20 October 2024. The race has the support of Somerset Regional Council for the next 3 years: be sure to check out the Experience Somerset website for local accommodation options pre- and post-race along with other adventures to explore in the area. Entries will be available via the link below and capped according to campsite availability.
